Velumi has five plans. Every plan is per project — an organization with three projects pays three plan fees, one per project, on a single bill.

Dev (free)

The Dev plan is for staging, testing, and development work.

10 GB bandwidth/month — traffic slows once the cap is reached, not charged
No credit card required
No custom domains — projects are accessible on *.velumi.dev subdomains only
Not indexed by search engines — Velumi sets headers to prevent crawling

The Dev plan has no time limit — it stays free indefinitely.

When to upgrade from Dev:

You need a custom domain
Your project is going live for real users
You're regularly hitting the 10 GB bandwidth cap
You need more than 1 environment

Bandwidth overage billing is coming soon. Once live, paid plans will be charged a per-GB rate for bandwidth beyond the monthly allowance. You will be able to set a spend cap to limit unexpected charges. For now, bandwidth is not billed beyond the included allowance.

Billing interval

Each paid project is billed monthly or annually. You choose the interval for each project when you create it, so different projects in the same organization can use different intervals. Annual projects are charged upfront for 12 months. Annual billing saves approximately 17% (you pay for 10 months and get 12).

How to change your plan

Open a project in the dashboard and go to the Plan tab. You'll see your current plan, a comparison of all plans, and a button to upgrade or downgrade.

Upgrades take effect immediately. You pay the prorated difference for the remainder of the current billing period — added to your next invoice, or charged immediately if it's above the proration threshold.
Downgrades take effect immediately with a prorated credit applied to your next invoice.
